David goes into great depth how using Floccin you can optimize your wastewater treatment, and how you have to consider all aspects of the wastewater treatment system to get a fair view of where the savings potential is.

This facility dyes material and this is a sample of their dye wastewater.
The pH was 7.27 and Floccin™ JP+ was used at a dosage of 0.5 grams/1,000 ml (4.17 lbs or 0.5 kg/ton of water).
The treated pH was 9.15.
The water was then filtered to simulate a settling or liquid/solids separation step.
The untreated suspended solids was measured at 285 ppm and the treated suspended solids were 25 ppm.

Liquid Solid Separation
November 4, 2009 at 3:44 pm | Posted in Liquid Solids Separation | Leave a commentTags: Liquid Solid Separation, Separators
Sort of out of order considering I was going to post about the steps of wastewater treatment, but I was thinking about liquid solid separation.
Anyway, liquid solid separation seems like a pretty obvious part of wastewater treatment because at its core wastewater treatment is really water filtering. Since many industries and municipalities wind up with sludge or thick yucky wastewater that really isn’t water liquid solid separation looms large.
So after pH adjust if any, and flocculant addition to grab onto the suspended solids, liquid solid separation begins.
What happens at this point is that the solids began to settle out of the watewater. You can use various methods of taking the solids off for dewatering at this stage.
So liquid solid separation is key to efficient wastewater treatment, in many respects it is the core of wastewater treatment.

Green Wastewater Technology

Not usually associated with wastewater treatment “green” is never more appropriate than when applied to an already existing practice, industrial wastewater treatment.

Green Wastewater Technology
Think about it. Back in the day, industries had plentiful water, no regulations and would produce as fast and as cheap as possible, dumping wastewater usually in the nearby river. Then something became apparent. That practice and practices like it were destroying our way of life ultimately. It’s not that “destroying the environment” is accurate because there is no “the” environment there is only our one earth “our” environment and pollution isn’t a desirable thing in our environment.
So anyway, waste water treatment started, so in a way, industrial wastewater treatment in and of itself has always been a “green” practice.

The Oxygenator Wastewater Aerator by Integrated Engineers Inc.
Of all wastewater aeration systems & wastewater aeration equipment the most efficient use pure oxygen injection.
In seeking the ultimate and super efficient wastewater treatment aeration using specialized custom wastewater aerators is mandatory.
Introducing The Oxygenator…

The Oxygenator Wastewater Aerator
With the Oxygenator, super efficient oxygenation is achieved in aerobic wastewater basins using a custom aerator and pure oxygen.
The Oxygenator is usually used in conjunction with an Oxygen Flow Controller which controls the flow of Oxygen to The Oxygenator based on the dissolved oxygen levels in the aeration basin. Pure oxygen is typically supplied by a VSA oxygen concentrator of bulk delivery of liquid oxygen.
